ESL Sues Azubu for $1.5 Million

SL’s parent company Turtle Entertainment is taking Azubu to court over an alleged breach of contract. Now called Smashcast, Azubu had signed a two year contract for broadcast rights to ESL events. According to ESL, they haven’t paid and now face a $1.5 million dollar lawsuit. While the final trial isn’t scheduled until July 2018, it’s one that could send a major message to companies about the dangers of purchasing broadcast rights without the means to profit off them.
